They will behold traditional classics such as the Colombian Cumbia, Samba from Brazil, La Marinera from Peru, Mexican Jarabe Tapatio, Argentinean Tango and Malambo, as well as the Chacarera dance from Argentina, Bachata and Merengue from the Dominican Republic, Salsa Caleña from Colombia, and folkloric music and dance from Cuba including the Chancleteo and Carnival.
All this plus live musicians accompanied by our Latin percussion section between dances, and an interactive finale where students are invited onstage to participate alongside our featured international artists, and you have an authentic, multicultural experience your students will never forget. The program includes a variety of dance and music from Spanish culture including classic Jota, Muñeira and Paso Doble, plus the tradition of La Tuna Troubadours (a group of traveling minstrels from the King's Court in the 16th century playing mandolins and tambourines).
And of course various genres of Tablao Flamenco inspired by the history and elegance of Madrid, the grand capital of Spain. These include Tango, Jaleo, Martinetes, Tanguillo, Alegrias, and Rumba.
Live classical guitarists will delight and entertain your students between dances with a variety of traditional Spanish music, and at the conclusion audience members are invited to participate in the interactive portion of our show and join the artists on stage to dance.
